Here is a fun Drag 'N' Drop Quiz on the Capital Cities of the Southern United States!
For this project, I created a Drag and Drop quiz to assess knowledge of the State Capitals of the Southern States in the United States. I modified the quiz to allow ony one answer to be correct instead of the three options. I decided to keep this theme in line with my previous week's projects on Social Studies topics. This quiz represents a direct assessment of a student's understanding-level knowledge of some of the U.S. state captials. The inspiration aligns with my larger course theme of Social Studies content. Similar to the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights quiz, I initially modified the HTML and Javascript web coding template to design the look, feel, and interactivity of this online quiz. On the page's footer, I added a weblink to a listing of all of the state capitals. Additionally, I included a link to a YouTube vidoe of Fun Facts about each State Capital. I hope this quiz is informative, engaging, and educational.
In reflection, this quiz type is ideally suited as a direct assessment or a study tool leading to a more extensive test. Naturally, this medium assesses basic knowledge-level since it asks students to match of associate correctly. As a methodology, this quiz can operate by only allowing one chance to anser or allowing multiple attempts before completion. For this reason, the medium is suited as a web-based assessment. If modified with multiple answers or attempts, this medium is a fantastic student study guide tool. Multiple attempts allow the student to attempt and get immediate feedback on whether they are correct or not. The reptitions of this make the Drag and Drop quiz suited for studying.
